Enhance your subscriber's experience by adding video content! You can embed YouTube or Vimeo videos directly into your Firstory articles and newsletters as exclusive attachments for your members.
How to Embed a Video:
Navigate: Go to the "Articles & Newsletters" page in your dashboard.
Create: Click "Add Post" to open the editor.
Insert: Select the YouTube or Vimeo icon in the editor and paste your video link.
Publish: Preview your layout and click "Save" to publish.
Viewing Experience:
On the Web: The video appears directly within the article for seamless playback.
In Newsletters (Email): Since most email clients do not support embedded video playback, the email will include a link/image guiding readers to view the video on your official article page.
Pro Tip:
Protecting Member-Only Content To prevent your exclusive videos from being leaked, we recommend using Vimeo (Paid plan required):
Privacy Settings: Set the video to "Hide from Vimeo."
Domain Restriction: Under Embed settings, select "Specific domains" and add
firstory.meandfirstory.io.Result: This ensures the video can ONLY be played on Firstory, keeping your exclusive content secure.
