Who it’s for: Creators who run their subscription service exclusively on Apple Podcasts.
Who can skip this: If you use Firstory’s subscription system and sync episodes to Apple, you do not need this integration.
Step 1: Link Your Accounts
Set Up Apple: Enable your subscription service in Apple Podcast Connect.
Generate API Key: Go to Apple Podcast Connect > Account > Keys and generate an API key.
Bind to Firstory: In Firstory Studio, navigate to "Integrations > Apple Podcast Subscription," upload your API key, and click "Save."
Step 2: Scheduling Rules (Critical Lead Time)
To ensure successful delivery, please follow Apple’s processing windows:
3-Hour Rule: Complete the upload on Firstory at least 3 hours before your scheduled release.
20-Minute Grace Period: Apple typically lists the episode within 20 minutes of the scheduled time (e.g., a 12:00 scheduled release will appear by 12:20).
