Ready to switch to Firstory? This guide will walk you through the process of migrating your podcast without losing your existing episodes or subscribers.
Note: Amazon Music is a listening platform, not a hosting provider. To migrate, you need to access the dashboard of the service where your audio files are actually stored (e.g., Anchor, Buzzsprout, etc.).
Step 1: Get your Podcast RSS Feed
Since Amazon is not a host, log in to your current hosting service (the tool you used to get your show onto Amazon Music).
Example: If you use Anchor to distribute to Amazon, log in to Anchor and copy your RSS Feed URL.
Step 2: Import your podcast to Firstory
Log in to Firstory, click "Add Podcast," and select "Import existing podcast."
Paste the RSS Feed URL you copied from your old host.
Confirm the show details are correct.
Once finished, copy the new RSS Feed URL provided by Firstory.
Step 3: Set up the Redirection
Go back to the settings page of your old hosting platform.
Look for a field labeled "Redirect" or "301 Redirect" and paste your Firstory RSS Feed there.
Save the changes.
After about 10 minutes, return to Firstory and click "Check Redirection."
Success! Your migration is now complete.
What's next? All show management and analytics will now be handled within Firstory. Check out Everything you need to know after switching to Firstory to start exploring!
