Podcasting is surprisingly easy—all you need is a phone. This guide covers how to record, edit, and upload to Firstory for free on both iOS and Android.
📱 iOS Users: GarageBand
New Project: Tap the arrow > "My Songs" > "+".
Select Mode: Find "AUDIO RECORDER" and tap "Voice."
Setup:
Use wired headphones to avoid latency.
Turn on "Monitor" (bottom right) to hear your voice.
Recommended Tone: Go to "Fun" > "Clean" for the best vocal quality.
【CRUCIAL】Disable Length Limit: Tap the track icon (three lines), tap the "+" on the right, and set Section A to "Automatic." By default, it stops at 8 bars.
Record & Edit: Hit the red button. After recording, you can split, delete, or trim the audio.
Export: Go back to "My Songs," long-press the file > "Share" > "Song" > "Open in..." > "Save to Files."
📱 Android Users: CapCut
Firstory supports many audio format, making CapCut an excellent tool for podcasters.
New Project: Select an image (your podcast cover) as the background.
Recording: Go to "Audio" > "Voiceover" and hold the record button.
Editing: Tap the track to split or delete parts. Long-press to move audio.
Export: Tap the export icon at the top right to save your video.
🚀 Upload to Firstory
Log in to the Firstory Studio Dashboard.
Select "Upload Episode."
Enter the title, upload your file (.mp3 or .mp4), and write the description.
Click "Publish Now" in the top right.
