Notification Management: Manage Your System Email Preferences

What is Notification Management?

Firstory automatically sends various system emails to creators and their members. The Notification Management page lets you view all email types, preview their content, and control which notifications you receive — all in one place.

How to Access

  1. Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner of Firstory Studio

  2. Select Notification Management from the dropdown menu


Content & Interaction Tab

This tab contains 3 notification types related to episode publishing and comments:

  • Members-only Episode Published — Notifies members when you publish a members-only episode

  • New Episode Published — Notifies members when you publish a public episode

  • New Comment — Notifies you when you receive a comment

All three can be toggled on or off. The episode notification toggles control whether members are automatically notified when you publish.

Paid Subscription Tab

This tab has two sub-tabs:

To Me (5 emails) — Notifications sent to you as a creator:

  • Ad Revenue Available

  • Donation Received

  • New Subscriber

  • Subscription Plan Changed

  • Subscription Canceled

You can toggle each of these on or off.

To Members (10 emails) — Notifications sent to your members (view-only):

  • Donation Successful, Subscription Started, Subscription Renewed, Payment Failed, Subscription Canceled Due to Payment Failure, Subscription Canceled, Subscription Plan Changed, Subscription Renewal Reminder, Trial Started, Trial Converted to Paid Subscription

These emails are sent to your members automatically. You can preview their content but cannot turn them off.

Previewing Email Content

Click the preview icon (eye icon) next to any email to see what it looks like. The preview uses sample data — your members will see their actual information when they receive the email.
