You can support Podcasters through Firstory’s sponsorship pages by either making a "One-time Donation" or "Joining a Membership." Your support helps them keep creating the content you love!
Step 1: Find the Sponsorship Page
Shownotes: Most creators include a link in the "Show Info" or "Episode Description" of your podcast app.
Search: You can also search for the show on the Firstory Web Player and click the "Sponsor" button.
Step 2: Log In or Sign Up
You need a Firstory account to proceed. We recommend using Google Login for a quick and seamless experience.
Step 3: Choose Your Support Method
Join a Membership: Select a tier > Enter your nickname and message > Fill in credit card details > Complete verification.
One-time Sponsorship: Click "One-time" > Choose or enter a custom amount > Complete payment.
Discount code: If the creator gave you a code, enter it on the details page. Look for "Have a discount code?" above the payment method. The summary then updates to the discounted amount. A code applies to subscription plans only, not to one-time donations, and it is redeemed at a new subscription checkout only. See Use a discount code to subscribe to a show.
Invoice Type (Taiwan only): If you need a company invoice, select "Company Invoice" and enter your Tax ID (統一編號) and Company Name. Otherwise, a personal invoice will be issued automatically. An order of 0 does not get an invoice.
Managing Your Subscription
Cancel or Change Plans: Log in to your Manage Subscriptions page. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. No further charges will occur after cancellation. If you have a discount, a plan change can end it for good — read Change Membership Plan first.
Update Email: If you entered the wrong email, you can fix it under "Account Information."
FAQ
What info is shared with the creator? The creator will see your Email, Nickname, and Message. Your full name, phone number, and credit card details are encrypted and remain private.
When will I be charged? One-time payments are immediate. Memberships are charged monthly on the same date you initially joined.
Are refunds available? Generally, all sponsorships and subscriptions are non-refundable.
Where do discount codes come from? The creator sends them out, and Firstory does not hold their recipient list. If a code does not work, ask the creator of that show.
