When you subscribe to or make recurring support for a show on Firstory, we issue a Taiwanese e-invoice for your payment. You can now view and update the invoice settings of each subscription on your own — no need to contact support.

💡 E-invoices are part of Taiwan's tax system. If you don't need a company tax ID invoice or a Taiwanese e-invoice carrier, the default Member Carrier works just fine.

How to update your invoice settings

  1. Go to the subscription management page and log in with the account you used to subscribe.

  2. Select the subscription you want to update to open its detail page.

  3. Switch to the Payment Methods tab and find the Invoice settings section, where your current invoice type is shown.

  4. Click Edit, choose an invoice type, and fill in the required information.

  5. Submit. You'll see a confirmation that the new settings take effect from your next charge date.

Invoice types and required information

  • Member Carrier — no extra input needed. Invoices are stored automatically in the common e-carrier bound to your member email.

  • Mobile Barcode Carrier — enter your mobile barcode: 8 characters starting with /.

  • Tax ID Number — enter the 8-digit company tax ID and the company name (invoice title).

When do the changes take effect?

New invoice settings take effect from your next charge date. Invoices already issued this billing period are unaffected.

If you need to void or reissue an invoice that has already been issued this period (for example, to add a company tax ID to it), please contact our support team and we'll help you handle it.

Why can't I edit the invoice settings of my subscription?

If a subscription has no upcoming charge (for example, it has been canceled), its invoice settings are view-only. You'll see the note "This subscription has no upcoming charge, so its invoice settings can't be changed."

Also note that subscriptions made through Apple Podcasts (in-app purchase) are not invoiced by Firstory, so they don't appear on the subscription management page.
